Seal Knowledge

Frequently asked questions about sealing products and inquiries.

Practical answers about product scope, application information and how to start a review.

Which sealing products does Auter supply?+

The range includes static seals, rod seals, piston seals, symmetric seals, pneumatic seals, wiper seals, rotary seals, guide elements, oil seals, machined seals and custom molded parts. Individual product pages list the currently covered profile codes.

Can I inquire from outside China?+

Yes. Inquiries are reviewed from any location. Include quantity and shipping details if you already know them.

Can I inquire using an existing seal profile code?+

Yes. Send the profile code together with dimensions, material if known, equipment or application, and expected quantity. A code alone may not fully define the correct product, so additional operating information is useful.

What information should I include in a seal inquiry?+

Please provide dimensions or drawings, equipment and application, pressure, speed, temperature, media and expected quantity. Photos, samples and existing markings are also useful.

Do you support custom molding and machined seals?+

Yes. Non-standard, molded and drawing-based requirements can be reviewed. Please provide a drawing, complete groove dimensions or a representative sample together with material, tolerance, operating and quantity requirements.

Which seal materials are available?+

Common options include NBR, FKM, EPDM, polyurethane, PTFE compounds and engineering plastics. The final choice depends on media, temperature, pressure, movement, wear conditions and any documentation requirements.

Can I request samples before a production order?+

Sample requirements can be discussed after the product specification and commercial conditions are clarified.

How quickly will you reply to an inquiry?+

Response time depends on the completeness and complexity of the request. Including clear technical and commercial information helps the review move more efficiently.
